The Forest Within

A 15-Minute Guided Art Meditation

Welcome

Welcome to The Forest Within, a guided art meditation created to give you a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

For the next 16 minutes, you’ll be guided on an imaginary walk through a peaceful forest while using simple art-making to explore movement, stillness, grounding, release, and light.

You don’t need to be an artist. You don’t need to know what to create.

Just come as you are and allow the art to carry whatever needs to be expressed.

What You’ll Need

Before you begin, gather:

  • Paper or a sketchbook
  • Your favorite art supplies — crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, or whatever you have available
  • A comfortable place where you can relax
  • 20 minutes where you can give yourself permission to slow down

You may also want headphones and some water nearby.

Before You Begin

Give yourself permission to make this time about you.

Put your phone on silent. Get comfortable. Take a breath.

And remember: you are not here to perform, produce, or get it “right.”

You are here to pause.

You are here to breathe.

You are here to reconnect.

When you're ready, press play and begin your journey into The Forest Within.

What to Expect

This experience combines guided visualization, breath, mindfulness, and intuitive art-making.

You’ll be invited to imagine yourself walking through a forest, discovering a clearing, following a stream, connecting with a strong rooted tree, and finding your way toward the light.

Along the way, you’ll use colors, lines, shapes, and movement to respond to what you experience.

There is no right or wrong way to do this.

This isn't about creating a beautiful picture. It's about creating a moment where you can pause, listen inward, and give yourself permission to simply be.
